Description
Chemitek Solar Lichen Removal Agent (LRA) is a premium biodegradable cleaner developed specifically for solar maintenance professionals and PV plant owners dealing with lichen and moss issues.
Lichen adheres extremely strongly to solar module glass – it secretes organic acids that penetrate micro-fissures in the glass surface and create permanent shading. This not only reduces the power output of solar modules, but also causes localized cell overheating (the hot-spot phenomenon), which can irreversibly damage the PV module.
Standard detergents or mechanical brush cleaning cannot remove lichen, while using improper chemicals carries the risk of damaging the anti-reflective glass coating (Anti-Reflective Coating) or the aluminium frame's anodized layer. Chemitek LRA's chemical formulation breaks down the root structure of lichen and moss, turning them into easily rinsable debris, while remaining 100% safe for all solar module components.
The product is suitable for both preventative maintenance and intensive cleaning of stubborn contamination on rooftop or ground-mounted solar power plants.
Suitable for all types of solar modules: N-Type TOPCon, PERC, Bifacial, Thin-Film.
Method of use: Spray after diluting with water (depending on the level of contamination), leave for 10–15 min, and rinse off.
