Electricity storage systems, also known as batteries or battery storage systems, are devices designed to store generated electricity so that it can be used later when it is needed most. This is one of the most important components of modern energy, allowing you to make the most of your self-generated electricity and become even less dependent on the centralized power grid.

Most commonly, energy storage systems are used in combination with solar power plants – during the day, when solar panels produce more electricity than the household or business consumes, the excess energy is not wasted back into the grid, but is stored in the battery. In the evening, at night, or during cloudy weather, when solar production decreases or is non-existent, the stored energy is automatically used for household needs. Such a solution allows you to significantly increase the share of self-generated electricity used – instead of 30–40% without a battery, with a storage system you can achieve 70–90% and more.

Where are energy storage systems (batteries) used?

  • In private homes – together with a solar power plant, for maximum energy independence

  • In business and industry – for peak load management, reducing electricity bills in high-consumption enterprises

  • On farms and in remote areas – where the electricity supply is unstable or completely unavailable

  • In backup power systems – in the event of a power outage from the grid, the battery automatically ensures uninterrupted power supply to the most important appliances

Electricity storage systems together with a solar power plant form a comprehensive and future-proof energy solution that allows you not only to save, but also to ensure a stable, reliable electricity supply at any time of the day.
