BYD HVM Battery-Box Premium high-voltage battery system, 13.8 kWh

The HVM system is designed with easy installation and scalability in mind. A single tower consists of a main control unit (BCU) and 5 battery modules. The Battery-Box Premium HVM series uses pure cobalt-free lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO₄) cells, meeting the strictest industry safety standards (including VDE 2510-50). This technology ensures high thermal stability, fire resistance, and a long service life – the battery withstands more than 6,000 charge/discharge cycles and comes with a 10-year manufacturer's warranty.

High-voltage (HV) efficiency and wide compatibility High operating voltage (ranging from 150 V to 480 V depending on the number of modules) ensures the lowest possible energy losses during conversion and allows for high instantaneous power output. The system is compatible with many of the leading three-phase hybrid inverters on the market (Solis, Fronius, SMA, Sungrow, GoodWe, Kostal, etc.).

Backup power and smart management Combined with a compatible hybrid inverter, the BYD HVM system ensures lightning-fast switching to backup power (UPS function) in the event of a grid outage. The battery is easy to configure and monitor remotely via the “Be Connect 2.0” mobile app, and the IP55 protection class allows for safe installation both indoors and in appropriately protected outdoor spaces.
